Intel Alder Lake-H official at CES: 14 cores for notebooks and 16-core 65W desktops

After what we can define as a good reception by the public and insiders, the Intel Alder Lake platform officially lands on notebooks with the Core 12th gen H-series processors. At the official (and virtual) event held at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, the Santa Clara-based company unveiled its new range of high-performance (TDP 45W) CPUs for laptops, while also confirming the arrival - in the coming months - of the mobile Core 12a gen P-series and U-series variants.

Intel's news doesn't stop at notebooks, however, and also includes the Core 12a gen desktop models, thus completing the series inaugurated with the top-of-the-line Core i9-12900K and Core i5-12600K (Review); we're talking about CPUs with a TDP of 65 watts that, among other things, will also come to market with the new Intel Laminar Series heatsinks. The Core series update coincides with the expansion and evolution of the Intel EVO platform and also embraces the vPro series for the professional segment, a line now identified with the two "branches" Intel vPro Enterprise and Intel vPro Essential.
